At Sutton Bonington Primary School, we recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued.
We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice.
The procedures and practices that we have put in place apply to all staff, volunteers and governors and are consistent with those of Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Board (NSCB). Please see the key documents at the bottom of this page for more information.
The Designated Safeguarding Leads at our school are Mr P Allen (head teacher), Miss K Chubb (deputy head teacher) and Mrs K Bradley (SENCO). Any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child should be shared with the DSLs who are trained to make sure that any concerns are acted upon as necessary.
If you have a concern about a child outside of school or in the wider community, concerns can be shared by contacting the Nottinghamshire Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). You can call the MASH as a member of the public on 0300 500 80 80 or you can visit their website by clicking here.
Safeguarding of children is everyone’s responsibility – always share any concerns that you may have.
